What each answer means.
✓ Deliverable
The mailbox exists
The mail server confirmed the address. It is safe to send.
✓ Accept-all
The domain accepts everything
Some company servers accept every address, so a single mailbox cannot be confirmed. Mail may still arrive.
✓ Unknown
No clear answer
The mail server did not respond clearly, often because it is busy or rate limiting. Try again later.
✓ Undeliverable
It will bounce
The address does not exist or is a throwaway inbox. Remove it from your list.
[ How it works ]
What happens when you press check.
We check the format
Obvious typos and malformed addresses are caught before anything else happens.
We ask the mail server
A verification service asks the domain’s mail server whether the mailbox exists. No email is sent to the person.
You get the answer
Deliverable, accept-all, unknown or undeliverable, plus whether it is a free provider or a role address like info@.
